Drive Alive UK Ltd has its own skidpan on RAF Honington, Suffolk. The Skid area is of a traditional oil & water variety in a large figure of 8 to provide continuous tuition in both left and right hand corners.

Drive Alive provide the vehicles and qualified instructors to make the experience enjoyable and instructive.

We cater for groups of 10 to 12 at a time

Preparing for Winter driving

At this time of year many of us will experience that stomach churning moment when our vehicle loses contact with the road and we start to skid.

There are several reasons the vehicle skids but only one cause THE DRIVER. That's not intended as a critisism but in truth if you have never been shown how to avoid a skid or, if it starts, how to correct it, then chances are it will all come as a bit of a surprise, one that could be your last.

Here at Skidpan.Org we have put together a Winter rescue package which includes skidpan training, how to manoeuvre and pull away in icy conditions, how to prepare before you set off and how to spot problems before they affect you.
